Default selling diesel jeans on ebay

I am sure this question has been asked before with other products but I would like some advice on this product. I have been trying to find a supplier who can supply diesel jeans for ages in low quanties. I found one and I have list them but really cant shift them. I have used auctiva to list as many photo's of the jeans and reduced shipping cost and even cut the price of the diesel zaf 796 jeans yet still they are selling really slow.

If it is the product that sells slow then fine but I cant help thinking I am doing something wrong in my listing as I did some research before buying them and they seem to sell well. The only thing I can think of is that maybe its because I do not have a lot of feedback of selling diesel jeans. Anyway if someone could give me some advice I would be most grateful

One of the main issues is that you will have to ensure your customers of the authenticity of the product therefore you will need lots of photographs preferably pretty large of the labels and back pockets etc, there are a few diesel jeans sellers on ebay who have established themselves a lot of the regular buyers will possibly go direct to their listings so you may have to compete against them by offering auctions at lower starting prices. Possibly worth trying with most common styles and sizes that you have.

You could also offer the "100% authentic or double your money refund" promise.

If you want to post your user id people will make more comments. (pipped by ynwa)

I have sold about three pairs but thats about it. The only other thing I can think of doing is maybe selling them at say £65 just to build up some feedback them raising the price but thanks for the input. Any more input you have would be great.

for the price I cannot see them being real ! thats the trouble with eBay, also this double your refund business doesn't cut it with most people, as there are sellers on eBay who sell fakes that put this. Also most people buying the fakes dont even know they are buying fakes they think the seller gets them 'cheap' but as you know yourself they are far from it.
http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/A-guide-to...00000002836808 maybe try rewording this, and add it to your listings for people reference, as it then seem you are adviseing the customer on spotting fakes within your own listing, giving them the confidence that you are selling the real deal.

Have you thought about your own website? pull the sales from eBay, and maybe throw something in with the sale! I did one on mine a while back, where are threw in a free t-shirt for a certain amount of spending! work very well

Looks like you are not the only one struggling to sell diesel jeans on ebay check this seller diesel_jeans_1978 they have been selling authentic diesel jeans for a few years on ebay but looking at their completed auctions they are not moving very many at the moment. Could just be supply outstripping demand at the moment.

There are basically 3 markets that you are dealing with on ebay:

1: Those that are happy to buy fakes
2: Those that buy fakes unwillingly thinking thay are getting a bargain
3: Those that want only authentics and have the cash to pay for them.

You have to draw those people in category 3 to your auctions.

If I were you I would link large external photographs into your auction description that verifiy the authenticity of your garments, also point out within your auction the differences between fake and authentic jeans as double_d77 pointed out. Use the subtitle to draw people to your auctions with something like " proof of authenticity included in auction".

You might find yourself writing a rather lengthy auction description but if that is what it takes must be worth a try.

One other thing I would definitely remove the diesel stock photograph as your main gallery photograph as that is what the fake sellers use, distance yourself from them as much as possible, use a large back pocket photograph and watermark it so people know its your own, if others use it report them.

Long term you could be looking at a website wouldn't be much use for you shifting goods at the moment though.
