I've a particular interest in selling music software - Steinberg, Native Instruments, East West, Yellow Tools, etc. I've bought and sold some music software before on eBay on an ad hoc basis - stuff I didn't need anymore and decided to flog. Seemed pretty easy to get rid of it quickly and for a decent price.

I recently decided to start my own proper retail business and secured trading accounts with a few suppliers like Et Cetera and Sonic 8. But now it looks like the sale of this stuff has dried up on eBay - I've been trying to flog a range of brand new East West products and Yellow Tools software for the past couple of weeks and priced everything well below the main competition (Dolphin Music, Digital Village, etc.) but I haven't had a single bid on anything. It's like the market for this sort of product has just dried up on eBay overnight.

Anybody got any observations on this?

hmmm. ebay has been pretty slow for me as of late and ive heard the same thing said by many people. too many sellers and not enough buyers maybe!

how much can you get kontact 2 for btw?

Reason is one of the most popular music production software out. For serious music producers anyway. Can you get a good price on this?

Reason and all Propellerheads software is distributed by a company called MidiMan, but I've never been able to get them to open a trade account.

Try Froogle.co.uk and get it to list from the lowest price. I often get bargains that way!
