looking for large profit margin product on ebay
Hi, I'm a new member in the forum, nice to meet you guys.
I've been scammed by some Chinese web sites and nearly been scammed by some UK suppliers, and have lost most of my capital I was going to use to start my ebay shop.
To cut the story short, I'm looking for some products that would have a bigger profit margin when selling on ebay shop (to try to cover my lost), does anyone has any recommendation what sort of products should I sell? Which wholesalers (best with the dropshipping service) should I use?
Thanks a lot.
Alex

Thanks for your reply. I know no body will give out their suppliers, and I have searched for good suppliers for months and end up being scammed and lost my money. I just made this post to hope that someone would actually help me to start my business.
By the way, I seen you are from Norwich, which is where I live!!! How small the world is that~~~ Please e-mail me and we can have a private conversation. alexlmlo@hotmail.com
Thanks a lot.

Let me guess? You are interested in selling iPods, consoles and mobile phones?
Why not ask someone else here if they can sell it for you aswell and then you wouldn't have to lift a finger Nothing personal, but you can not expect everyone to rush and give you such sensitive information.
There is plenty of information on this very forum to help you 'find your way'.

Don't be too harsh with this guy; he is new to the forums and looking for advice. Those of us who have been scammed, whether at the beginning of a business or along the line a little when we should know better understand what it feels like to be scammed and how it leaves you wondering why you bother. The loss of money is just a part of it; the worst thing is the loss of faith in people and enthusiasm for what you are doing.
It is difficult to recommend products to sell on eBay, you will have the best success finding products that you have a genuine interest in yourself and if you are just starting out I would advise you to stay away from the really high end, most popular items. There is such a lot of competition on eBay and these sort of items are where you will find the most frequent attempts at fraudulent transactions and buyers who bid your items up with no intention of ever paying and of course you have those who try to scam you as you try to buy the products to resell. Don't let this put you off entirely, just choose your products carefully, know about the items you are buying/selling, check out your suppliers as best you can, if selling expensive items deliver to paypal confirmed addresses only unless you have had the opportunity to communicate with the buyer (this gives you a chance to get a feeling about them before making a decision) and make sure the delivery service results in a signature upon receipt by the buyer. This will help you in the case of any chargeback’s on a paypal payment. It's not easy making it on eBay, it takes a lot of hard work, patience and determination but it is also a lot of fun.
Have a serious think about what YOU want to sell, research those products and then with a bit of care GO FOR IT!! Lots of Luck

I can hear the desperation in your voice and its very familiar. My reply is probably something you dont want to hear but if your serious about running a business you really have to put the hours in. Listen to these people when they say that the majority of info is all here. Its just up to you to research, check, and gather your suppliers. Now all this takes time. If it was that easy to make a quick buck everyone and their grandma would be doing it.
If words like discipline, hard work and motivation scare you, youre not going to make it. Creating an online business is no easier than any other start-up really.
Dont be discouraged though. Persevere and youll come good in the end. Surely doing all this work is fun too knowing your going to be free from the 9-5 at the end of it!

There are lot of people who make a lot of profit and make a very comfortable living just selling on eBay.
I personally believe eBay is one of the best outlets ever introduced....period.
Regardless of the so called high fees, where else can you have such a massive and sometimes worldwide exposure of your products? Now tell me their fees are expensive!?!? That is great value in my opinion.
The problem is that most people are only interested in selling select popular items where there is little or no profit and therefore the fees are expensive when compared to your profit.
Even if you started a website today, filled it with products with masively high margins you would get nowhere near the amount of traffic and sales (if any) you would get just by listing it on eBay for a few quid!
You get instant sales from day one of trading and it is not exactly hard work. The hard work was a few months earlier when choosing your products, negotiating and buying.
