I don't know if it's international or not, but you can try Craigslist or something similar.

Creating your own website, you need to market it, but that can make allot more money/profit than ebay. Advertise it localy, can boost sales.

You have answered your own question. You can not beat eBay for value and exposure. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

I challenge anyone to find an alternative medium online/offline that can give you instant results for so little money?

Also reserve prices are not the way to go. It's a fact that they hardly ever reach market value/reserve price.

If you are selling an expensive item you simply list it as a buy it now at your required price. If no one buys it, it is either too expensive on not in demand.

If it sells you pay the fees. The same way if your salesman sells something he gets paid.

Cant stand the costs and need a site with traffic.....that comment is at odds with itself. If your product that you are selling on Ebay requires a high reserve and still cannot justify the relatively minor fees on Ebay then the product is wrong or the sourcing is..

cheers for the feedback guess your right, only other place i found was http://www.adooda.co.uk dunno if it has the traffic though, apart from that looks like a good alternative if only it took off and got the buyers ebay or similar have.

I will lump the ebay costs but i know im not on my own with these thoughts its a common problem for people.

thanks

henry
