All my customers get a 14 day no quibble guarantee, including ebay.

If for any reason they are not happy they can return it for a full refund less postage costs. Not that I am really doing them a favour as it is your OBLIGATION under the law. But it always goes down nice all the same and goes some way to inspire confidence.

I find it disappointing that so many sellers would take such a cavalier attitude to customer service, the buyer has seven days from receipt of goods to request a refund. It doesn’t matter if they are thick or strange or just annoying, a lot of buyers are you still have to refund. Also unless you state in your T&C’s that they have to return it then they don’t and you still have to refund them.

Morale of the story is have clear and full conditions and remember the customer is almost always right, because they are so well protected by law.

Just give them back their money and forget it. Not worth the hassle!

When i sell on e/bay i always have a return policy that if goods are returned within 14days they must be in the same package ect and un-damaged goods..and also have them return item/s back Recoreded delivery next day which is not refundable..

Im Always willing to work with the buyer nomatter how much it hurts...you just got to grin/bare it..

I can agree with both sides on this. However, if someone said to me ' robbing ****' id blow a bloody casket. If someone says to me, can i get refunded on this, wasnt what i had expected etc etc. Then i would happily refund them. But to be rude and then expect 5 star service, must be mad (or english)

Thats why i only use ebay for advertising purposes. Nothing else!

More than once in my days with my auto parts stores there would be some crook bring an expensive item to the counter and request a refund. And more than once my people saw them walk in emptyhanded, go to a gondola and pick up the item and walk to the register asking for :their money back."

I wondered then, and still do, how often thay actually got away with it.
