Default Ebay Expensive items..... Question?

I have in the past sold items on eBay at under the £100.00 mark, with just a few items at £170 and under, but 90% of my sales have always been for items at around the £10 - £25.00 mark.

Now this is all well and good, but there isn't a lot of profit in the items, and I decided it was time to move onwards and upwards!

I have just secured a new supplier of items, that have a retail price of around £500 - £600, and I have put some listings out on ebay at the £500 level.

Now for the question....... Having never tryed to sell an item at £500.00 what can I expect, do other sellers find more expensive items sell well?

Thanks

It's not the selling price it's the value. Obviously if you are selling £1000 item for £500 you are going to sell a lot more than a £500 item being sold for £500.

Most of the items I sell are about £350 - £450 and I find BIN on a 3 day auction works quite well

I find you get fewer tyre kickers wasting your time and it is unusual to get a npb on higher value items. I also only send items of this value at Special Delivery and charge 1.95 more than actual postage cost. I sell a fair number of Digital camcorders and Digital camera's and only send them Special Del. The camcorders are in the 250 - 600 bracket, I always insure for over the 500 where needed as well.

I find this ensures a happy customer, remember customers are also nervous about getting scammed on ebay.
