Default Is it just Ebay Australia that is making Paypal the only option?

Is it just Ebay Australia that is making Paypal, credit cards & COD the only payment option or are they doing it everywhere?

And what about sellers not being able to give negative feedback anymore?

Thought it was Germany?

The UK ebay is not allowing retaliatory feedback any more

ok yeah I had heard about the negative feedback banning but wanted to check that it was all ebay sites.

How about Paypal only option? Ebay Australia has banned direct deposit in a hope to increase buyer confidence (and also to make more money through Paypal obviously)

Yes, it's eBay Australia!

But maybe it won't go as smoothly as eBay wants :-)

Hah! I was wondering why they postponed it for another month! It was supposed to begin yesterday.

To be honest, I really don't see what the problem is with only accepting PayPal on eBay. Some people hate them because of their poor customer service but when ever I contact them, there fine and I don't see the problem.

Hi Saajan,I think the gripe is Australia is behind when it comes to payments online. You only have to see the queues in post offices with people paying bills.A lot of people still do not trust paying by credit card online. They have more faith in bank transfer or money order. Not realy an issue with sellers accepting paypal except maybe for those with something to hide.

I had quite a conversation with a guy from South Africa on another forum. Says most payments are cash. Even companies will hand-deliver checks, not trusint their post office. Says hardly any individuals have checking accounts.

Hard to imagine.......
