Default Suspended due to VERO

Hi, I've been selling CECT p168+ phones on ebay for the past couple of weeks, I had one or two listings removed last week for using a description like "Chinese I--fone", I changed my listings recently to "CECT P168+, Mobile Phone etc....." (no mention of Iphone) whatsoever in the listing and they have suspended me.

Now I was selling CECT phones not Apple Iphones and there is no intention to deceive buyers.

What is my next step as this was going very well.

Normally they just make you take a questionnaire on the rules of ebay and then you can sell again. It gives you info on how u can put your listings and gives examples of what is inappropriate to put in a listing. They've collared you due to the 'chinese iphone' and had their eye on any other listings you have done as they might think you are selling copies of iphone.

Correct, their bots are trawling listings all the time looking for keywords, this then flags up in the system as potentially fraudulent item, even though you removed "chinese iphone" bit you will still be on their s**t list until you jump through their hoops and prove they are not.

Thanks for the replies!

Will it be possible to sell these in future under this ebayid or should I set up a new account. I plan to follow all ebay guidelines such as taking my own photos and not using any reference to Apple iphone.

There are many people selling these seemingly without trouble, does this mean they have built trust with ebay?

they may still have their eye on you. Maybe you could sell some old stuff that is 100% legal so they get you off their radar. A new account is also a good idea. Unfortunately ebay dont catch everyone that sells these sort of products you have just been unlucky as a lot of people get away with worse.

While this is very true springfield i would personally contact ebay and ask for a genuine reason why they are giving you grief and while you are at it ask them if there is anything you can do to rectify the problem as you dont want to lose all that hard earned feedback!! On the plus side if you jump through their hoops i have found it massages their ego's and you generally get a helpfull response.

I had problem with Vero about 9 months ago, if once you get reinstated you wait about a month you should be able to sell a few more without trouble. The Vero people only remove listings on questionable items when the seller is selling a lot of them...
