thankyou for your response.
I now am curious as to what your merchant account is, I can't comment greatly on the subject at the moment as this conversation has switched from paypal being the only method of paying to paypal fees, but at the moment I get charged 1.6% and 10p per card, depending on my monthly takings, as from the buyer piont of view, I get charged 6.9% APR, which is interest free if I pay my card in full when I recieve my bill,
don't get me wrong, paypal makes life so much easier, it is one of the best online payment options there is so far, I sell on ebay and I admit although I offer many payment options I prefer to get payed by paypal, but that is not realy the subject, in fact back to the subject, if paypal is the only payment allowed on ebay, there fees will go up because of it, if it allows compitition it will stay as competitive as posible, I am sure in the near future, ebay will force alot of smaller companies to leave, only the most successful will remain but they will have to put there prices up to cover all charges, paypal will make the same money on less accounts, and if you are a seller or a wholesaler, good luck as the changes filter down, and that is my oppinion and I actualy hope I am wrong but only time will tell. and by the way, you should not check peoples I.p. addresses it shows mistrust on your part and since this as a comments forum I do not see the relivance of checking an I.P. address

I don't think PayPal fees will go up as they're quite high already comparing to most merchant accounts.

I hope you are right, but if there is no compitition they will, they do offer a service which is on of the best at the moment, but Its just like any service wich has no compitition, they go mad they will find more funds from somewhere, don't know if it is the same for you but when our bus service knocked out all compitition, there prices went up on any excus there is, once a year for inflation and once a year for (fuel, wage increase, even put the prices up because the was not enough 5p made), but I do hope thay don't but time will tell.

You talked as if you had started the thread and were demanding people only post if they agreed with you hence the idea that you do indeed have two accounts/usernames

no I did not start the thred, and I do not have two accounts, and at no point have I stated that no-one should answer unless they aggree, I have infact mentioned that a couple of people who rather than discuss the topic reverted to name calling, now I did mention there that when people name-call mainly it is because they do not like people to have an oppinion, if you read it carefully I did state and I quote ( but if you have come here to just name call, then I suggest you open your own thred entitled, ONLY ANSWER THIS THRED IF YOU SHARE MY, AND ONLY MY OPPINION, PLEASE DON'T RESPOND IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN OPPINION."
everyone has a right to there own opinion whether it seams right or wrong to others, otherwise whats the use in the forums discussing, thanks for reading

one of the differences between merchant account and paypal is the customer does not have to leave your site to make payment.
