PayPal the only method of payment on eBay - Surely it's against the law?
Ebay only excepting paypal as the only payment method in certain listing categories. Probably they will move it to all listing categories eventually. This must be against the law?
Imagine if Tesco bought American Express and said from now on we will only take American Express in our stores. There would be an outcry, and i'm sure the government would get involved.
Anyone else agree?

The only way round it I guess would be to advertise on you listing within text/html - 'Payment methods accepted - PayPal, Cheque, Postal Order, Bank Transfer ect . . ' then when the auction ends obviously your address will be sent on the invoice, and if they wish to use Bank Transfer they would need to email you. You would then have to change individual listing status to 'Payment Received' manually in the Selling Manager. A messy way of doing things and prob wont be to long until eBay slap you on the wrist for it, but from my initial thoughts I cant think of another way round, obviously it would be much easier if eBay just didnt do it in the first place

I would guess if any of us (me included) bothered to read their terms and conditions, we would find that they are allowed to do it!
But I have noticed at least 2 of my biggest rivels stop selling on eBay, and my trade is picking up. So, so far the changes are working for me.

Hi all,
So if there is problems with ebay why are people not leaving ebay and opening up their own shop. Do ebay have that much traffic that in some ways its the only way to sell?
