If thats the case then surely court proceedings could be brought against them, because they are not shutting down big sellers who I know have less than 98% feedback.

So what actually happened with your account Tango?

From what I can see, you've only had a handful of negatives in the last six months? Hardly a reason to get you removed from the site?

Sorry to hear that Tango. How many Item Not Received complaints have you had recently?

YNWA what law are they breaking? They are a private company and can get rid of who they see fit.

This is appalling 98.8% not acceptable crazy this just proves the new feedback system is floored and when sellers are threatened by buyers about leaving negative what are we to do it may even have your account closed.

I'm not bothered i'm moving away from eBay now anyway but this is going to hurt a lot of the good small sellers.

Up until yesterday things seamed fine on eBay. I always paid my fees on time, and lots of them. Then yesterday was £0.05 listing day......

I listed 300 items With the idea to use it to generate a lot of sales (I was selling at just over cost price), then take those customers away from eBay.

Ebay took the sales, took the fees, and listed the items......

This morning got the following from eBay:-

Access to your eBay account has been indefinitely restricted for breaching eBay's Seller Non-Performance policy by causing an unacceptable level of dissatisfaction amongst your buyers.

Our top priority is to ensure that eBay remains a safe and reputable place to buy and sell. You can only resolve this issue by settling feedback complaints received from your buyers. If you've any outstanding transactions you should also complete these..

Here's some steps you can take now:

" View emails sent from eBay in My Messages
" Review your Feedback Profile
" Learn more about the Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described Process
" See all open disputes in the Dispute Console
" Request a buyer's contact information

You'll have access to your account for thirty days to resolve feedback issues with your buyers and access emails in My Messages to conclude any outstanding transactions. However, you won't be able to make any new purchases or list any items with this account.

We'll review your account again after thirty days. If your account standing has not improved (i.e. you haven't sought resolution with buyers who've left feedback complaints against you or completed any open transactions if applicable ), your account will be indefinitely suspended

So with no outstanding fees! No outstanding disputes, and lots of happy customers (98.8% Feedback positive) ebay have stopped my account.

The only reasons I can think for this our as follows:-
1. I closed my eBay Shop last month, and on the feedback form - told them they were no longer supporting small sellers!
2. Lots of my recient customers have decided to contact eBay and complain that my goods were fake! or some other such thing!
3. As I has listed 300 items yesterday, one of my rivels on eBay decided to report me for as many things as possible, to get my account closed!
4. A mix of all the above.

What have I done?
1. Made sure my fees are paid up to date.
2. Changed my about me page!
3. Just written to eBay, enclosed my standard £10 fee and requested all data held on m, under the data protection act - they have 30 days to let me have the information, or be reported under the data protection act.......
4. Smoked a lot of ciggs, drunk a lot of Tea, and shouted at anyone that is near me

regards

If they are getting rid of him on the grounds of seller performance then surely they have to do that to everyone who meets the same criteria. You cant get rid of a business on ebay that breaks no laws or rules. Yet allow bigger companies to stay when they do.

Look at the example I gave and then look at his. Also note the example I gave got suspended for falsely advertising items as in the UK and sending them from Asia. They did this for thousands of customers and got away with it for years, even when they were getting reported for it.

Illegal it isnt [in my opinion] immoral perhaps. Unethical?
No business can be forced to sell its goods or services to anyone it chooses not to..... unless they contravene one of the many regulations in force... I do not think in this case they do [given the facts available].
I think Ebay are forgetting one simple rule.... look after your customers.
The buyers on ebay are not ebay customers they are the sellers customers....
ebays customers are the sellers... thats who they sell their service to...and have a contract with..... therefore their could be a possible case in contract.... but if the contract states that any fall below a certain number of percentage points in feedback negates the contract and it is agreed to by using the service and paying the fees...... then the case would probably fall.
Ebay has a duty of care... but the simple fact seems to be that they dont care.
The only way to affect ebay is for the sellers to withdraw their business en mass.

The rearly stupid thing, is that when I try to contact any people in "my ebay" that have left me messages in the last few hours, ebay infoms me "as your account is suspended you don't have the ability to contact anyone" or words to that effect!

So one one hand they tell me to speak to my customers and work out any problems - then on the other hand they make sure I can't do this!

Good old eBay looking after its sellers again.....
