Default PPPay on e-Bid - have they closed?

Hi coz of the hour, I am being a bit slow, but what is this PPPay on e-bid, and why when you do a search for it (on google), it states that the site (PPPay) is closed.....
This can't be good?
At the recomendation of some of the posters on this site, I checked it out. Some nice stuff...HOWEVER, a bit worried about the closed PPPay site?

PPPay is a payment processing site just like PayPal. And PPPay is still open:

Where did you see the notice that it had closed?

Are you sure it was their domain you were actually on?

I notice they have put up a notice now:

Hi guys, I am not trying to worry any users who use PPPay, but when I searched for them last night via google, when you clicked onto the site, it stated that "this site is closed"!!!!
Hopefully and maybe this was a clitch of some sort, or I ended up on some outdated version of it!
But please how does it work? Is it an instant payment site like PayPal coz I am not keen on the Escrow method of payment, even as a buyer!

Most odd. It could have been you ended up on a different URL or worst case scenario was that the PPPay website was hacked but very quickly restored.

It works very similar to PayPal but is less commonly used.
