i have just received this message from eBay:

I have sold only one of each type of item and provided detailed information as to their authenticity and have 100% feedback....whats the problem? they have also not specified what brand of item has the limitation unless they mean ALL of them!

Did it have your user name and your full name at the top of the email? "Attention Seller" just sounds a bit un ebay like. Could be a spoof mail. However, what the email says is true, there are limits on some brands on how many items you can sell. Use ebay live help - www.ebay.com and look at the top right for help.

i was trying to revise an item by changing the existing photo with a better one...and the message appeared at that point. regarding the limits...i listed six different items by one designer and three different items ( 3 sizes) by another...so i am confused.com

I got exactly the same problem selling Perfumes/After shaves etc. they gave me the usual warning when i was about to list the item about authenticity & stuff then after that i got the same message.

Ask them to review your limit they will remove your limit usually within 24 hours if you have good feedback.

probably another way to attempt to control fakes, like Paul said, they should lift it if you get good feedback on the items that you're selling.

try registering as a business it may help with the limits

If you contact eBay chat, they will remove it there and then if you have a good overall account state.
