Default eBay -RE:Unhappy (but difficult) Customers

I have been selling on eBay for about a year now and have managed to learn something so if anyone would like advice I am here.

There is a lot I have learned. One of the things is this:
Sometimes you get awkward customers who are not satisfied no matter what you do.
Most customers are fabulous but very rarely there is one who seems to be there just to cause trouble. Whatever their reason they could have been having a terrible week so this is what I do....

I have to confess on these occasions (as the customer is always right and must be cared for like our very own sweet baby) I like to write my reply offline in Word or Notepad.

Something like,
Who the hell do you think you are!!! I have offered to move heaven and earth to make you happy and here you still are taking the p**s! What is your F*c***g problem.. bla blah blah...

(you think I have issues?!!!)

This gets the whole thing out of my system and then I take a deep breath and continue online with something like this.

I am very sorry to find you are not happy with the solutions we have offered, please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience you may have suffered.
I hope this will not put you off shopping with us again in the future,
Kindest Regards
Jude

Do you all hate me now?

I have done this three times in the last year. I also evaded the negative feedback. Phew!

I have to add, I have had some customers who are now good friends of mine on Facebook!!

haha that is quality, we run a few ebay accounts and the first 10 mins of the day are spent swearing at the screen cause of some of the ridiculous questions and DEMANDS from ebayers now, more so they can't be negged.

I am fairly new to ebay but what I have found so far is that I have been kept on my toes! There are a few weird demands out there but have managed to avoid any problems so far

If I send you two free, refund treble the price you paid, burn down the premises and shoot the owner? Would that satisfy you?

Works for me

I agree Lemon, Trademe is great for sellers. The buyers don't have as much power as on eBay and so far all of mine have been reasonable and friendly.

Whats Trademe?
I will google it as I have not heard of it. On eBay I am selling single products to the general public although I am about to start dealing with Trade only.
Thanks for your response.
Cheers
Jude

So, I googled it and found you have to be in New Zealand as far as I can tell at first glance. Gotta go now. Have to make calls.
