Question Does it really matter

What your Ebay page looks like, if you do nothing fancy would that lose you sales?

I just have a gallery pic and writing, if i need extra pics i copy & paste them in the description. I don't want to waste money on borders and silly things if i don't need to, it gets ridiculously expensive for all that.

What are your opinions on it?

I totally understand where you're coming from with regards to all the fees, however as long as you put time an effort into creating a good selling template on Ebay you can't really go wrong.

I would say having a gallery pic and good detailed accurate description is key to a good listing.

You don't need to pay for eBay extras (designed layout for example) but you definitely want to make your listing look good - it's easy achievable if you have some basic knowledge in HTML - it doesn't cost a single penny :-)

making your listing look good is a very smart idea. If it looks professional, and is a little bit more expensive than a cruddy looking one, i'd prolly go for the pro

Thanks for that, I'm going to try some things out and see what i get. Personally it doesn't matter to me, i just look at the gallery pic and feedback, it's the item i'm after not a fancy page.

Have to disagree with everyone here - I paid almost a grand for frooition to do me a fancy web page and my sales have accelerated dramatically despite the fact that I have added 15 to 20% to my prices to pay for the design.
