How do I get started with $1000US?
I kinda know what I went to sell (electronics, video games, mp3 payers, etc.). Im seeking advice because I don't know how to get started. Should I search the web for a supplier or look in local newspaper/yellowpages?
Any response would be appreciated

hey Ganja!
With $1000 you'd be better of to sell something cheap, def. not electronics like mobile phones, game consoles etc.
You see - for $1k in electronics market you'll be able to buy, say what? - 3 mobile phones? 1 plasma TV? 10 mp3 players? You'll never get a good wholesale deal for that money.
On the other hand - $1k in China can land you a very nice deal on clothing (not branded of course), toys, beading supplies, iPhone pouches etc.
So be very careful when choosing the products you want to sell. The more buying power you have, the better deal you'll get!

That is very true, I was looking around DHGate earlier and found some profitable items that I might consider buying. But thing is, I don't have a market for those kind of items, any suggestions on a good way to get started?

DHGate is a really bad place.... so many fakes, untrustworthy sellers, delays and prices are way too high for majority of products as well.
Where to sell online? Same good old eBay is probably the best way to get started for newbies. If you manage to make profit there, you can think of ways to expand your business.
eBay is not a paradise but for minimal investment you can show off your products to potential buyers, use well known payment gateway and gain experience. What else you could wish for?

So are you saying I should purchase goods off of ebay? I'm looking to find profitable goods but its really difficult to search for a decent supplier.
