Right now, are there any sellers on eBay still getting good sales?
Afternoon guys and girls.
Quick question really, been monitoring the somewhat lacklustre ebay site over the last few weeks.
Are there any sellers on here that are still doing fine. Don't worry, not looking to steal your business. Its merely a observation question to determine if eBay is still a viable selling channel for proper ebay sellers and not the "once-in-a-while", "clear-out-the-attic" that are there.
Answers on a postcard please.....
P.S: To all London TWF members, why is the weather so cr@p today. Haven't seen the sun in years! I am in Bank currently and the weather matches everyones mood...depressing....

I think its just british weather to be honest!
eBay is ok if you have the right business, I have seen a few companies that are still doing well.
Our company doesn't use eBay, so I wouldn't be able to comment

My eBay sales are great....But I could sell funk to a skunk, so it's no surprise to me. The politics of eBay is what's killing it, and making it suck...Too much money to leave, yet too much of a headache to make a career out of it. You know your company sucks when people making 20k a month sitting on their butts are looking for somewhere else to go lol. It's like they have a special department dedicated to making sure you fail, but unlike most, I have my priorities in order. Cash rules everything around me. They have thrown everything but a suspension at me, and I'll continue to pimp them until they do.

My sales have increased specially this season and we all know why. I am just trying to catch up on everything since I always have the stock on hand.
If you are planning to sell something on ebay then this is the right time to start...

As I'm only progressing with my overall business concepts, my sales increase from month to month. But that's purely based on the work amount I have putted in. The more precise number could be conversion rate, average order amount, LTV etc. And in some niches I see that numbers are slowing down.

pretty much stopped selling on ebay now and solely selling through our own channels, amazon and direct to trade. It hasn't been a conscious decision but with over 800 orders on amazon in October and the phone ringing non stop we just haven't had the time to dedicate to it.

I have done quite well on ebay - well what I thought was well - until I noticed how much ebay were taking from me in FVF. Can anyone tell me how Amazon works - as in is it a set amount to sell items or is it similar to ebay in that it depends on the price of the item? Also do they charge a FVF.
I'm pretty new so hi to everyone!

On Amazon, listing is free but you'll pay more than on eBay once the item sells.

I am selling a few things I picked up wholesale. Making a decent profit but not enough to give up the day job. I have been concentating on items that mums at home with nothing to do all day except buy kids stuff for Christmas can buy. However, I have picked up a load of stone blocks and kurbstones recently. Anyone any advice on the best place to sell them? There is about10 tons of the stuff, and I can deliver!

There has been a lull this past week on ebay but I think it is steering more and more towards proper businesses and less and less to the odd find in the attic type seller
