Default Terapeak with eBay...

Considering cancelling my subscription with Terapeak, this month would be my 3rd month of using it & to be honest i don't find it very accurate...

When you go to the "Home Page" & try to do an item report (i usually go by 30 day), it shows alot less than the amount actually sold!... It's happened a few times where i have clicked the item via Terapeak & then takes me to the item on eBay as "sold", looked through the sellers feedback & found they have sold loads of the same item! yet it isn't recorded through Terapeak!!! This could in many ways be misleading & classed as a poor product, when infact the eBay seller is shifting them by the bucket load.

Also, on a few items via Terapeak that are "Hot" (red dot)... many times it says:

This is a top level category. We're sorry, but eBay does not permit detailed research on this category. Please select another category or use the Search report to research listings in this category.

What is the point in using Terapeak if this is not permitted? I thought the whole idea of Terapeak is to locate a niche & good selling product?

Any other Terapeak users, please share your thoughts?

I agree Steve - I tried it on myself and it only reported 10% of my actual sales.

It is a useful indicator though - just not accurate

The same thing happens with completed listing searches on eBay. My suspicion is that it is a side effect of the 30 day gtc BiNs. Items don't show up as sold until the listing ends, but a lot of the gtc listings never end they just get topped up if they run low as sales history helps a listing in searches.
