Hi all, I have been trading on Ebay for just under a year now but still yet to find a geniune wholesale in the uk or abroad. I have lost 1,000s looking for them but none of them seem to be geniune.

The only way i get my stock is buying wholesale on Ebay , anything i think will make a profit i buy!!

Can any one point me in the wright direction of a geniune wholesale it can be in any product range etc...

Thanks in Advance..

I use several and Richard has a book full. But remember that wholesalers only sell at wholesale prices when you spend serious money. And wholesale prices are often only a fraction below what you'd pay elsewhere. The whole meaning of "wholesale" is "BIG QUANTITIES". The secret is to buy big quantities and sell immediately. In fact BIG doesn't have to mean HUGE but the cost is high.

When I worked in a satellite TV warehouse we would buy 100 satellite receivers at £100 each (pay out £10,000). We'd sell them at £107 each (get £10,700) during the week. So that item made £700 profit in a week. Of course we were selling a lot of other items as well so the weekly turnover was something like £1000,000 making £1070,000 which gave £70,000 profit each week.

The problem lies in getting that first £10,000 to spend in the first place. You have to build up to that with whatever you can afford to buy and sell. Or get a loan and pay it back pretty damn fast.

If you don't have that sort of money to spend then what you are looking for is low retail prices with a decent profit margin on small quantities. In that respect, you'll have to get the price down by settling for "end of line" or "B grade" or stock that's slow to shift, which the dealer wants to dispose of to cut his losses.

And, on the subject of "wright" direction (or even "write"), I got my first bank loan to print a booklet that I'd written. It cost £1300 to print and I sold 1000 booklets at £5 each in less than a fortnight. Go figure.

(It's spelt "genuine", by the way. Pronounced "jen yoo in".)

It's a worrying trend that kids can now leave school at age 16 without having learned basic English. I mean, how can anyone cope without being able to write his own native language? It makes effective written communication impossible and I can't imagine it helping spoken communication. Is it laziness on the kids' part? Are the teachers unable to teach? Has the government changed the rules such that written communication no longer matters?

In my day (I'm seriously OLD) we started learning to spell at age 5. By age 6 we certainly knew that a sentence began with a capital letter and we were fairly competent overall by age 12. In fact I recall having to learn psalms and poems by heart at age 10.

"By the rivers of Babylon, yeah how we wept when we remembered Zion" etc.

I would have laughed back then if someone had told me it would be turned into a hit single by a group called "Boney M"!

Anyway, Jon, you're not too old yet. Stick at it. Alan Sugar still can't spell and he made plenty of money! I have his life story, somewhere, if you'd like to read it.

Hi guys,

Jon, Miah's right - Richards ebook has a bunch.

I have a wholesaler near me in Southampton who let me go in, wander around, look at all the stock (they make me a cup of tea while I do it) and they tell me what's selling well, what's coming in and they give me the same price (even if it's just for 1 item) as their best customers.

They are out there, you just need to get Richards ebook (or join the membership site) and make a few phone calls.

Regards,

Andy

Andy, that sounds like a cool wholesaler. What is the name of the wholesaler. I want to check them out as I am in Southampton. Is it in Richards ebook.

Richards ebook is massive and packed full of wholesalers, maybe I have missed it.

Most of the wholesalers I use are near London. It would be nice to have a wholesaler just around the corner.

Cheers!

Miah

So if a potential customer asks you a question that will sway their bidding and you reply with something like the above do you think it will influence their decision to give you some of their hard earned cash?

This is not a case of "He who is free of sin cast the first stone" as I know I have huge holes in my ability to use English, but I have also found out that making the effort makes the difference.

Do you think these wholesalers will take you seriously w/ u ask tm 4 hlp w/ ur buzz ness?
