Hi all,

Recently I paid for 2 separate DVD's on ebay from the
same seller and so far I've only received 1, and the
seller is not responding to my emails.

The strange thing is that on the postal information he'd
put down standard post for one, and recorded delivery
for the other. The standard post item did arrive, but
the recorded delivery one hasn't. He qouted 1-2 days
delivery over a week ago.

It's not the money here that's the problem (because the
DVD's are only about £6 each), it's all the hassle of
chasing up the goods etc. These DVD's were for Xmas
gifts - I wish I'd have just gone to the ordinary shop now !

What's the best way to tackle this ?

Thanks in advance.

Leo

Hi Leo, There are full details of the many actions you can take on the eBay site. The following address will take you there!

Good luck

First thing is to send the seller an email giving your full contact details including phone number and asking him to give you the Recorded Delivery number for checking on the Royal Mail site.

You should also be able to request the seller's full contact details to send him a letter or preferably phone him.

I would simply write it off and buy another. If it turns up, sell it. If it doesn't turn up, give appropriate feedback (stick to the facts - "CD never arrived and seller didn't reply").

To report him:

Go to "My Ebay" and click on "Dispute Cosole", which is at the bottom of the "My Ebay Views" menu at the left.
Click on "Report an Item Not Received or Not as Described".
Fill in the form. I think there's a minimum time limit for "not received" items.

I don't think the seller would risk getting negative feedback for a 6 quid dvd.
try use the "ask seller a question" link in the item page, seller might use different emails.

unlike normal delivery, seller has to go to the postoffice for recoreded letter, which might be a delay, and sometimes recorded are slower than normal.

go check the seller's other activities, if there isn't any, he might be out of the country

Can they really give the buyer the seller's contact details including telephone number?

I would have thought that was a breach of Data Protection. I am not saying it doesn't happen just wouldn't have thought it was legit

ENERGY SINK ALERT.

Think about it, £6.00!!! Leave negative feedback, report to eBay and go use your time to earn the money elsewhere.
