Selling on Foreign eBay Sites
I know a few of you list some of your items on Ebay France/Italy etc, i was wondering if you list them in English? I am thinking on doing the same. Cheers, Chris.

Re: Foreign Ebay sites
Why would you list them in English if your intending to sell to a foreign market? I'd suggest you don't write in English but that would just be me.

Perhaps i should have come at it from a different angle. I cant speak a foreign language, do you think it would be acceptable to list on Ebay Italy/France in English, or is there a translation facility on Ebay, as i would still like to reach these markets. Cheers, Chris.

Re: Foreign Ebay sites
I don't use an online translator as I either know the language or I know someone who does, Google Translate might be good although English would be OK I suppose.....

Thanks Maclover, thats really what i was wondering, would many be able to understand the listing? Although i know it is a bit rude to list in English, its more of a necessity for me.

Re: Foreign Ebay sites
It all depends how good the translation software you use is, you can't expect 100% accuracy from anything, I personally would lower my price slightly to allow for any misunderstandings (Due to spelling mistakes etc etc)

Right, ive decided to put up two listings, buy it now's 5 each, one English and one in French, and see how they get off. A sort of double experiment! Thanks for your help Maclover. Knowing my luck i wont get a single sale like when i tried out Ebay US, although the postage was quite excessive there. Should have a better chance with Europe.

Re: Foreign Ebay sites
With the exchange rate the way it is, many european buyers are turning to UK sellers & therefore using eBay.co.uk...
Just offer shipping to Europe within your eBay listings.
