I am selling items on ebay and was wondering if there's a limit to how much I can receive via paypal in a month as I am not registered as a business.

Anybody know?

Thanks

Sam

After about £2k they contacted me and asked for details on where i live to confirm my identity, and wanted copies of my drivers license. I believe there is a set amount you can receive before they ask for further confirmation to say you are who you are.

Business information can include your name and address. Just give them the details and you'll be fine.

By the way, what kind of account do you have? Personal or Premier / Business?

Is the PayPal account under your name or your parents name?

There is a £1700 limit which can be removed by verifying your account information

Unfortunately though, it does take a while to verify yourself. They send small amounts to your bank account to verify it (you have to tell them how much they sent you) and this takes 5 days. To verify your address they send you a letter with a code on which you have to type in, but the letter could take a while to reach you with the current postal strikes.
