International Ebay Listings
I have just spent the best part of an hour listing my product on about 6 international ebay sites, but what has amazed me is the difference in the fees.
Costs 45p to list on ebay.co.uk but 3 euros on ebay.be
Also an item costing $29.99 on ebay.com with a FVF of $4.50 and on others it is like 1.50 euro
What is going on, surely they should have a universal pricing strategy?

What prompted you to say that?
That's a rather irrational statement if you give it some further thought. Take for example the price of Petrol here in the UK compared to somewhere like Libya. We pay nearly a £1 a litre compared to it being around 15p a litre in Libya. The products are the same but the markets are completely different. Sure, that's a lousy example but hopefully it explains my point.
Just because it's eBay doesn't mean that the pricing should be universal across their network of websites. There are variables affecting each market that need to be considered and this is reflected in their fees.

based on your example ebay.com does have a lot more traffic than any other ebay site, so thats probably a reason behind it

Wouldn't it be more appropiate to just list "Worldwide" shipping?

Agree with Anthony.
The price differentials on goods in your 3 examples (UK, Belgium and US) will be quite big.
It's like why are cars cheaper in Poland than they are in Germany (most expensive in Europe).

If i was looking for European buyers i would get my listing professionally translated into different languages, it will prove much more effective than listing in english and hopsing your buyer speaks the language

Re: International Ebay Listings
I have hired a professional translator and it is proving very affective
However I was just slightly shocked by the varying prices, however after reading the posts above I have realised I didnt look at the wider picture.

What happens when your buyer has a problem with their order and you can't communicate?

Re: International Ebay Listings
Then you either have to get your translator to translate the problem or you use afree translation service.
