listing shuffles, spy pens, mp4 nano type etc etc
been interesting reading about people having these removed as they cant mention shuffle, ipod, iphone etc in the listing as obviously they get removed. so by not putting them in you are limiting the item being picked up in a search so cant you add the word ipod, shuffle etc somewhere in the listing and then change the text to white so it doesnt physically show up?
how does ebay remove these clones do they search fo the word? have software that checks each listing or something?
maybe this cant work but when i bought something from ebay the other day i noticed that you could search the listing as well as the title and it got me thinking to something that happened in the city a while back where an employee was working his notice but was emailing a "friend" where he talked about normal stuff but in certain parts he has typed information in white text so his current firms security did not notice that he was sending information out of the company.

Re: listing shuffles, spy pens, mp4 nano type etc etc
The white text was once a very popular SEO method back in the day. Or any text the same color as the background. You could hold down a shift key and mouse over a page and find some funny stuff.
Can't say about ebay, though.

Re: listing shuffles, spy pens, mp4 nano type etc etc
I think it's generally competitors who report you for using trademark words. Putting ipod etc in the item description does little or nothing towards search results unless the buyer clicks the search item description button. Ebay don't sit round hunting for keyword spamming all day they rely heavily on the community or rights owner. They restrict things like time scale and ammount of items listed.

Re: listing shuffles, spy pens, mp4 nano type etc etc
Yes but it works to your advantage if you know and understand the rules. Spy pens it's probably the intellectual property owner that is restricting sales. Ipod etc probably people who are selling the genuine article as Apple would have a massive job looking through all their items.
