Re: ebay accounts/bookkeeping???
Hi Chris,
I totally know how you feel because I am also new to trading and sales have been picking up recently and I need to backtrack on every order made because I had no book-keeping system setup initially.
I am currently working on an excel spreadsheet which should hopefully make the process a lot easier. I have been looking into eBay reports and Seller Manager Sales Reprts seem quite useful but does not give you each individual sale, but good for an overall summary of how much £ in sales and fee's.
You can actually download all of your previous sales history directly from eBay into a .cvs file which can be opened using excel. My plans are to download the history each month and with some tidy macro coding sort the reports into only the information I need at the click of a button.
You will ovbiously need to have the cost of each item you hold to work out your profits but if you are good with excel this could be easily acheived by having a seperate sheets named "stock" and assign each stock an SKU then use VLOOKUP's based on your SKU's.
Probably sounds more hard work than it's worth but im hoping that in the long-run it will be beneficial. I would be happy to share my work when completed to anyone here.

If you are registered with HMRC as self-employed then yes.
