Re: Would Amazon Be better then ebay?
Amazon does have higher fees than ebay, but the service is not the same. It is not an auction site, there are no insertion fees.
You set the price you want to sell, if it sells, you pay the fee and get your cut. You don't have to mess around with adverts, amazon does it all for you! Also typically you can get slightly higher prices on amazon than ebay, so the fee difference isn't as bad as you might think initially.
Also I think selling on Amazon marketplace is safer for the seller than ebay as they handle pretty much everything. I'd happily pay a little extra for that added protection.
Also you can buy a "shop" package, or something similar, which halves the fee you pay. These are about £20 a month - pennies compared to saving 5-10% on fees on transactions over £1000.
Bottom line : as with anything, do your research, find out what the fees will be exactly for the category you are selling in. Price your items accordingly to avoid high fees, or to take advantage of the slightly higher sale prices on amazon marketplace. It usually pays to use both sites.
