As a research tool for what's selling on ebay, is it worth the $179 pa subscription?

Depends on how you use the info you glean from it. Only you will determine if it's worthwhile, personally I think it's a bargain.

I am using a 7 day trial version at the moment. it seams to be a great tool to do some research at least :-)

It's def. worth $25 a month subscription - Terapeak is great for those starting out as it gives un-valuable information about eBay markets. Usually, 1 month is more than enough to do a proper research.

Sure, it can be a very handy service in a day to day market research, competitor spying and other processes.
