Exclamation XBOX Live Codes to be affected by eBay policy?

A few snippets from a message I got from eBay:

"From 30th June 2009, eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie will launch a Manufacturer Vouchers policy... Therefore, the listing of valid vouchers will be permitted on the site with the following limitations:
  • Expired Vouchers: The sale of recently expired vouchers is not permitted on eBay ...collectible vouchers that clearly cannot be redeemed may be permitted.
  • Electronic "scanned" vouchers: All vouchers sold through eBay must be physically delivered to the buyer, and may not be delivered by electronic means for home printing. Further, to reduce the potential for voucher abuse, eBay asks that sellers refrain from placing clear, unaltered scans of vouchers in their listings that could be copied, printed and redeemed in stores. The sale of scanned or photocopied vouchers may breach copyright laws, and sellers of such unlawful items could face legal action. "
Could that second bullet point seriously affect trade for those selling XBOX Live codes?
I myself dont sell it, but it seems to be a highly requested product here on the forums.

Would be great to hear peoples opinions on this - lets get a few people who sell the items on ebay to get their opinion across, as well as maybe a few of the wholesalers - do you see this as something that will affect business?

(eBay also stated that more details of this new policy will be released on the 30th June)

Hope to hear some good input!

What would be the problem, just send the code across via email, and follow it up with a paper versoin (that includes a link back to your website for future sales / discount code valid for 1 week )

But it depends how picky ebay is going to be.
Would a printed out code be deemed 'bad' in the eyes of eBay:
"sale of scanned or photocopied vouchers may breach copyright laws, and sellers of such unlawful items could face legal action."

Will be hard if all the suppliers are getting their stock scanned and emailed to them...

I dont think so, arnt vouchers coupons or something like that?

Update: ok the definition for voucher is basically a certificate, xbox live codes aren't certificates. So your ok if you email them and mail them the code.

So the question is whatever xBox live codes are vouchers or not. I believe eBay will look @ them as vouchers.

I believe ebay will decide all weird and wonderful things with no logic to their decisions, depending on which muppet looks at your case on the day.

I also predict some people will have listings pulled and lose their accounts, and others doing the same thing will carry on with no changes at all, basically a complete mess.
