Angry Misleading Ebay PSP Auctions

I went on Ebay tonight and was checking out PSPs. I was shocked to see that most of the US Version PSPs were being severely misadvertised. It seemed as though 90% of the sellers had the wrong model PSP in their picture.

The problem was that these sellers were advertising "PSP 1001k Value Packs" while the pictures in the auctions were of PSP 1001 Core Packs. The difference between the two is the same difference between the PSP 1000 standard pack and PSP 1001 value pack. The core pack only comes with the unit, charger, and adapter (no memory card, case, lanyard, sampler UMD, cleaning cloth, etc). Also, the core packs come in a black box while the value packs come in white boxes.

Anyway, the core pack is $50 retail less than the value pack. I'm hoping that these sellers just have the wrong pictures up and are not selling the cores as value packs.

Here are a couple such auctions:

Misleading Auction #2

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Be wary of such auctions and PLEASE don't misadvertise. Thanks for reading .

Another one to watch out for is hacked PSPs, if you have a 2.0, hack it and downgrade to 1.5 and you can sell it for £230+ on ebay instead of £130.

Suppose to be rare and not made anymore yet brand new ones keep popping up.

Yup, the 1.5 firmware is really rare now and Sony does not produce this anymore...

Plus 1.5 version is still the best version as it can play a lot of downloadable games...just wonder if this is the reason manufacturer discountinue it??
