Default Michael Jackson tickets what would you do?

I'm morally not supportive of ticket touting.

Some people have made wads of money from flogging these tickets - the buyers are now going to be looking for all their payments to be refunded.

Legally if you bought tickets off ebay its a grey area.

Morally I feel every penny should be refunded too bad if in the interim the touts have spent the profits - concert cancelled full refunds are due.

What's the views of the forum?

Incidentally here's the ebay stance at the moment:

Good Morning,

I wanted to post to let everyone know that while we are all deeply saddend at the loss of Michael Jackson, we are aware of the concerns and issues you are raising across multiple threads from both the buyer and seller side of the transaction.

We hope to have an announcement shortly detailing our response.

its not a grey area, bbc news have confirmed if it was bought via paypal then you can claim through them for a full refund, or you can do a cc charge back, i feel sorry for the people who bought on gumtree!

Wasn't doubting what you'd said .

BBC says no legal right for people who bought through a 3rd party, such as an eBay seller, so looking like face value refunds for them.

The auction website eBay is advising people who have bought tickets on the site to contact the sellers to ask for a refund. If they bought using Paypal, they can get their money back if the purchase was made during the last 45 days.
It said it was working to remove live auctions of Jackson tickets from its site, although hundreds remained on the site during Friday morning.
"Any existing bids will be cancelled," a spokeswoman said.
Anyone who spent more than £100 on tickets using their credit card, or often a Visa or Mastercard debit card, can apply to their card provider for compensation if all else fails

this from the bbc website, most people pay via paypal anyway, so only a small percentage will loose out

I just contacted HSBC as bought mine over 45 days ago, they advised to go through PayPal first and if no joy there to call back for a chargeback.

Either way I am protected so just have to wait and see what PayPal do.
