How to put writing on your 1st pic?

Anyone know any free or otherwise software programmes to put professional looking writing/logos on the 1st picture for your ebay listings.

Photobucket have a watermark facility.

You can change font, size, colour and transparency. They even have a glitter effect available.

Or you can download for free Googles PICASA http://picasa.google.co.uk/

You can add text to your pictures, do simple editing and resize your pics.
