Smile Joining EU sites

Hi everyone,
I would really love to push some of my items on either the French or German ebay. Might be a silly question but can a UK resident join them? I've tried and there dosen't seem to be a way around it.
I understand I'll be visible as an international seller, but I'd like to try it on the domestic listings. Is it possible?

I run a shop on French ebay, as the OP has said it's the same as ebay UK, just log in with your user name and start listing. The shop and listing fees are cheaper than on UK ebay.

Yes, Paypal is the main payment method. I have had about 5 enquiries in the past 5 months regarding payment by cheque (even though my listings clearly state paypal only) - yes, I would accept the cheque but it takes up to 6 weeks to be cleared by my bank. Most of them went onto registering with paypal. One customer paid by bank transfer.

P.S. I only sell on French ebay, but have had customers from all over the world. Don't know what they are doing on french ebay.

French ebay is very good. I have notice a lot of German power seller selling on French ebay.

By the way German ebay is also good and there are buyer that that use paypal. Its just that I have notice 98.9 of all m transaction are paid via bank transfer. I have also notice that people from Austria also pay via bank transfer.

When you list in the other countries do you translate your listings into French, German etc or do you just leave them in english?

One annoying thing with french ebay is that as a powerseller you don't get any discount on final fees like you would on uk-ebay. I am a gold powerseller on french ebay and get zero discount on FVF; ebay has told me their discounts are for uk-registered powersellers selling on uk-ebay. Which I think is very unfair, they are trying to promote international trade after all, aren't they?

I sell on french ebay, all my listings are in French.
Was thinking about listing on italian ebay as well as I get quite a few of customers from there but also not sure about the language of the listing (don't speak italian). I don't know if it's possible to put a title in italian but the lsiting itself in english.
I think I have read somewhere that all listings on german ebay have to be in german language.
