I know its 4am but i cant sleep so thought id do a little surf... and what do i see while checking my ebay?

My listing being blatanly robbed like a poor lil defenseless biatch!
exuzae my francais but im a little pissed...

this may seem quite petty and after thinking, oh well some guy named "ardman" lol stole my photo that i took the time to take i then notice he copied my WHOLE description too!

now this guy has almost 1000 feedback and on my account stands at 10..although the item in question ive been managing to sell higher than all others which is why im guessing this copy cat listing is happening oh and price undercutting too! lol

and just when i thought it couldnt get any worse i then notice ANOTHER LISTING STEALING MOFO arrggh!

ok so its not the end of the world but personally i just could never do that...

for anyone who hasnt yet slit there wrists reading this i will post the listings :P

mine HERE

thief no1 HERE

thief no2 HERE

now for thief no3 to just come along and cut/paste my listings html and we have game/set/match! lol

anyone else had this done, is it common as its the first time happening to me on either of my ebay accounts...

rant over, the world may now continue!

Simple, Go to there listing and at the bottom it says report item.

Then select one of the options saying "copied my listing/picture"

Keep watching and they will soon be taken down.

It's just a part of the business...

Besides, you should watermark your pictures!

Also - did you wrote the whole description by yourself? Or you copied it?

Do eBay actually terminate auctions if another member copies your listing?

It's never happened to me personally, but I always try and include a comprehensive listing (better than my competitors) which most likely increases my chances of sales. Just always paranoid that someone is going to imitate it sometime soon, especially with the market so narrow.

Did you atually write the description as it looks like something copied from either the supplier or from the box?

Is that your picture or did you get it from somewhere else?

The pictures I took all myself apart from 1 with the psp, majority of description is copied although some is my own and laid out my own way. Watermark is a good idea yes but it just seemed like a total piss take really to completely take everything from somone elses listing..

This had happened quite a few times for me.
I have alot of picture theft.
Reported to ebay and soon sorted.
I got quite annoyed when this first happened but ive kinda got accustomed to it now and excepted the fact that this goes on.

I was bit shocked to be honest that someone would just go and copy someones entire listing and photos!

Although I may have taken bits and pieces of information from various sources, I still laid it out in my own way and added some of my very own descriptions plus spent the time to take my own photos.

Im not sure whether I will report them as I only have a few left now but this has taught me yet another lesson >:]
