Default Ebay Linking - What you Can and Cannot do in your listings.

As Ebay has grown lots of people realise that they can use Ebay to promote their own business/website and Ebay has introduced lots of 'wooly' guidelines to manage this. Just wrote an article that you may find useful that tries to break this down into laymans terms, take a look and see what you think :

Ebay Linking

hey great post! I've been a powerseller for a couple years now and I use all of these tricks. The funny thing is that ebay themselves don't always play by the rules. Large companies that sell on ebay are sometimes permitted to link out to their sites simply because of the large sales volume they bring to ebay. The little guy is the one who gets the shaft.

Your listing violates policy, it is encouraging off ebay sales and the link does give information but also has a checkout present which means off ebay sales also.

Why not write a small ebook on how easy it is to repair remotes using this system, then give it away to ebay viewers. The ebook can then obtain links back to your own site..

The thing is lots slip through the net unless it is reported by the 'ebay police' (ie. the users) or the listing happens to fall within the auto checkers and gets flagged for human response...eventually one of the two will happen.
