LOL, I know some HK sellers who advertises a product and claiming that their in Australia. But those people never go long. Locals will just give neutral or negative feedbacks and drawn eBay's attention.

I always use the UK only search to filter out the chinese sellers on ebay only to find there is an increasing number of chinese sellers registering as businesses in UK even though they are not which I find very frustrating. I actually checked out some of the business addresses they have given on their ebay listing at company house only to find they are using dissolved business addresses or totally different address to the one registered with company house. What a scam!

I have actually just noticed as well that there are items on eBay with sellers who are registered themselves as being in China, but then the product is registered as being in the UK. So when you filter 'UK Only', the product is still appearing, and it completely undercuts everybody else by around 60-80% and almost everyone will think that the product is in the UK.

Yes, I read on the ebay forums only this morning that a buyer had been conned by seller stating item was in UK only to be hit with a £20 import duty charge! time ebay did something about this, not only are they misrepresenting the location, are also illegally registering as a fake UK companies in order to get away with taxes,etc....
