No because if you send the customer a replacement, you have still made the sale. If you give the customer a refund you can get a refund from ebay/paypal on the fees.

Well how do you get the refund from ebay other than asking the buyer to cancelling the transaction? which they have rejected a couple of times with me, little shits!

lol I have 2 that have been ignored costing me £3.47 each, and another 2 I didnt even bother with as was lucky the buyer didnt neg me, £14 down the drain - really I think ebay should have a system whereby if you refund on paypal then the fees are also refunded, or 70% refunded with a 70% refund etc, but i suppose they want to try and keep the companies seperate.

Just give ebay a quick call with transaction number or email them with it, stating the money is refunded to the customer. They give you final value fees back to your account.

If they ignore the cancellation request for 7 days, you get the final fees credit.

I know what you mean, there should be a system where final fee credit automatically happens, but they must make a canny bit of money off the people who forget to do this.

i wounder if you sell sometin at a loss in an auction if they give you the price you payed for it or the price you sold it then.
