Set up a website (oh no here he goes again )...

Even though you will not get much traffic other than that that you point towards it, it will give you a venue to introduce your business and allow other to 'meet you'...over time this can develop into your main sales vehicle.

The sooner anyone has a site the better..

You also have to have a sellers account to gauge interest in selling and leting people know your prices!! Remember the forum rules on trying to sell or conduct business using the forum software! ie PM's

I definitely agree with MustHaveMobiles. A web site will make your business look more professional, and the small amount of traffic you will get in the beginning will increase over time as you deal more and more through your site.

I would imagine that this website would be a good place to sell as one of the sellers of iPods on here, JMGames, has too much business that he cannot keep up with invoicing, etc. but apparantly has the time to fill the orders though, you will want to note.

Anthony is completely correct along with DSC, communication via email and the internet is somewhat unprofessional. Talking on the phone moves transactions along smoother and less miscommuncation errors will occur when you are able to hear people's voices and the tones that they use as well as the overall confidence in their voice can also tell you weither you think a buyer or seller is completely geniune in the message that they are getting across or the product that they are supposably selling or buying.

A lot of the un-complex scammers such as ones from Nigeria, Romania, or Indonesia, will not talk to you on the phone. They will give you a number and when you dial it and it doesn't work they will say that there is a problem or something similar to that nature.

I usually will use MSN, Skype, Yahoo!, or Alibaba TradeManager to simply schedule confrence calls or phone calls and will use online services such as email, instant messenger, etc. to confirm things and will use fascilime to transport non-origional documents and UPS to transport origional documents. Anyone who communicates only through email or instant messenger should be questioned in the business integrity and the transaction should be reviewed through due diligence checks.

A website will also add a sense of legitamicy to your product offers. I know an Australian man who bank wired a couple thousand dollars to an Indonesian company who was the usual Yahoo! email ; no working phone number ; personal bank account, etc. and when I asked him, why do you think these guys were legit? He indicated to me, becuase they have a website and you need a credit card to open a website, so their identidy is verified. He didn't know that the website was opened using a solten credit card as per the WHOIS information.
