Question How to reply on negative feedback?

Just got my first negative feedback on eBay, don't think I deserved it but you can't please everyone I guess.

Just want to reply on the negative feedback but I don't know how to do that.

Can anyone please tell me how?

Bribery always works! As bad as it sounds, giving them something for free is the best way to ensure 100% feedback!

Be careful with bribery, however, the buyer can report you for feedback extortion, which can be backed up with copies of any emails you send them!! I know it happens, often successfully, but i'd rather suck it up and accept the neg myself!

Instead of bribery, i'd try pulling their contact details and giving them a ring, discussing the matter fully with them. Then once any issues are sorted and you've offered a refund, exchange or something else you deem appropriate, broach the subject of feedback revision, and send a revision request.

If you do reply, keep it factual, make sure you leave any personal comments or remarks - i can't tell you how many sellers i've avoided because of the way they speak to their customers in feedback responses - personally i'd rather buy from someone with 10 negs & no responses to any, than buy from someone with 1 neg and a really nasty, arrogant response!

Out of curiousity, what was the neg for, and what does it say? I've managed to work the system many times with my powerseller account manager and had a couple of feedback removed for language, slanderous comments and because i've been able to prove reasons behind non-delivery.

The feedback was in Dutch, but what it said was; "I ordered it and it would be send to me the next day, but still didnt received it yet"

8 days after he purchased it, I got a email saying;

"I purchased a Nokia case from you on the 14th of September, where is that thing!??!

I hope to hear from you soon!"

I replied within 12 hours and said I have send it right the day after he purchased it but I would send him a new one. I asked him if he could send his address to me so that I can send a new one asap.
