Advice Needed: Different options to take Payments on Ebay
Hi All,
I have been selling on ebay, and using Paypal to take payments.
I am now looking to maybe set a ebay shop up - however i will not be able to use paypal as a method of payment and i will be using a dropshipper to deliver the orders.
Basically - the buyer goes to ebay, wants the product, however can only buy or enter there card details on another site - so they cannot buy it now through ebay -
Is there a way where i can integrate the buy it now button to take them to my dropshippers site, where they make payment?
The dropshipper is a very reputable company and there should be no problems in trust etc on ce on the site.
The problem is - i sell succesfully through ebay, the suppliers are trying to cut down on supplying the stock, instead they want me to work as an affiliate - If i had my own website it may have been easier - because the traffic would have been mine - where as i am using ebay traffic - so if i cant come up with a solution, it wold mean i lose business.
I also can make more profit this way per sale.
Let me know any thoughts or ideas please

Not accepting PayPal on eBay? Good luck! Unless you have zero competition you'll struggle to get sales.
One option is credit and debit card payments over the phone. There's of course more traditional methods such as postal order, cheques, cash, etc. These will only work well in conjunction with PayPal in my experience, as 99.9% of eBay customers will only use PayPal.

Payment Services NOT permitted on eBay: AlertPay.com, anypay.com, AuctionChex.com, BillPay.ie, ecount.com, cardserviceinternational.com, CCAvenue, ecount, e-gold, eHotPay.com, ePassporte.com, EuroGiro, FastCash.com, Google Checkout, gcash, GearPay, Goldmoney.com, graphcard.com, greenzap.com, ikobo.com, Liberty Dollars, Moneygram.com, neteller.com, Netpay.com, paychest.com, payingfast.com, Payko.com, paypay, Postepay, Qchex.com, rupay.com, sendmoneyorder.com, stamps, Stormpay, wmtransfer.com, xcoin.com
If you are a UK ebay user then Nochex is great.
If you are looking for an alternative type the above names into your search engine.

Ebay require you to offer paypal, or so I thought?
Doubt you will get many customers without paypal as an option.

Re: Advice Needed: Different options to take Payments on Ebay
Hi there,
I don't understand much about dropshipping, but do you not take the order & paypal payment, then purchase from the dropshipper on the customers behalf? Only i don't see what you actually do, if you expect your customers to want to purchase your products, but then expect them to visit a different website (which they don't even know is secure) purchase the item from the website of your dropshipper, handing over their credit card details to a company who isn't even the person they thought they were buying from - and i presume the supplier would advertise themselves as a dropshipper on their website? I think this plan is a little flawed, to be perfectly honest.
Also, if you have an ebay shop, and are registered as a business, you MUST accept paypal as a payment method. And you are alienating the vast proportion of customer who only use paypal - because it's more convenient for them, it's more secure, and not everyone has credit cards - i ditched my credit cards years ago, and as much as i've been offered them, i've not had one since!
You may have to re-think your business plan (meant in the nicest possible way, of course)
Gail

On the credit/debit over the phone, I offer that on my listings. I reckon about 1.5% of value actually take it up. If I didn't have it in my physical shop anyway the cost of it would negate the sales totally.
