Hi guys,

I've just received a BIN on one of my Nintendo Wiis, from a person with 0 feedback. A few minutes letter he requested a "return", because he had changed his mind. As you probably know if you refund 80% or more of the cost of the item you get your FVF credited. However because he hasn't paid at all I can't refund him.

What can I do to get my FVF back?

Thanks,
Elis.

What a time waster!

First of all i would email the 'customer' who originally bought the item and ask him to confirm in email why he changed his mind, and to confirm that he hasn't paid. If he does do that, then email Ebay explaining the situation, or better still call them.

Agree to mutually cancel the transaction. You go to the same place you do to open a dispute.

Thanks PT. I've just made a major balls-up. I accepted the return request thinking that it would cancel the transaction, but then it asked me to refund him. Now it won't allow me to cancel the transaction because I have accepted the return request. :hitwall:

You can change the return request and deny it I think. If not then the buyer can definitely cancel it.

Do you know how I can do this? My only option is to process refund.

Its likely only the buyer can change the status, I have only ever had one return request and the buyer cancelled it that day as I solved the problem and they kept it.

Damn, I think it's going to be difficult to get him to do that. I can't understand why someone would request a return when they paid for something 3 hours ago lol. Surely they should just contact me first and ask me to cancel the transaction.

Email the buyer and explain you cant refund as they havent paid and you cant cancel the transaction until they change the status of the return request.

Better still give the buyer a call, if their number is not on the sales info then do a contact details request and get it.
