Default Strange eBayer

Hi guys,

I am rather concerned about a Wii I just sold. Someone from America has just bought a Wii off of me, despite it clearly stating in the title UK PAL. Not only this but the price was £180 + £40 shipping, and even more for customs charges. Which is very expensive especially considering how much cheaper they are in USA.

As soon as I saw that their feedback was 0, I was worried, but what's weird is that they paid the money into my account instantly. I have the money in my account and I can withdraw it into my current account if I want.

Surely there must be a catch? Haha. Is my money completely safe and should I send the item out tomorrow? Or should I approach this with more caution?

Thanks,
Elis.

Probably be a hacked account

Have they asked for it to be shipped to a different address from that registered with paypal ?

Might be simpler just to refund and move on, much less hassle in the long run

Cheers
Andy

Yes they have! Actually on checking they have asked to send it to the phillipines. Very peculiar.

If they've paid then you have to send it or refund them.

I know, but I don't want to send it yet because the situation is very strange. And I don't want to just straight out refund it in case the woman's genuine.

She also asked if I could lower the declared value on the shipping to save custom fees.

If you keep the money I bet you'll end up with a charge back in a week or so, refund the money and tell them you cannot send the Wii to them.

Good luck
Andy

Thanks for the advice. Don't they have to request the refund though?

Report the problem with ebay and they should refund the final value fee back.
