Default Weird ebay customer....

I sold an xbox live 1 month code on 21st september and i send it on that same day.Ive just recieved an email from him saying

"hi there i still havnt recieved my xbox live code whats the hold up?"

I mean why would he contact me a month later stating he hasnt recieved!!

Unfortuantly i delete email sent/recieved after every month so i cant see the purchase cost time etc and the email i sent him.

Do you think that its possible hes trying to claim money back, knowing that i wouldnt be able to win a claim against ebay....?

Anyone had this before

Best Regards

I have had it before with a Blu-Ray. The Buyer messaged me about a month later, I offered him a replacement and about 3 weeks later he messaged me back saying he would rarther have a refund. 7 weeks in total from when he paid. Pain in the ass....

Yes its in my ebay i marked as dispatched and have left feedback for him so i have sent it 100% guarenteed!

Only trouble now is i cant send the code out again as ive deleted it from my computer,I do sell quite a few so to keep track once i sell one i send it to a folder and then after a month delete whats been in that folder.

Im still awaiting a reply from him now i just said recheck all your emails/including junk etc

hope to hear back!

Unfortunately these people crawl out of the woodwork every now and again. We've had out of the blue paypal chargebacks etc.up to 6 months after the purchase took place. We keep all postal receipt etc. on file and archive all emails.

I would suggest after you've sent a code out by email, you print a hard copy and archive it for 12 months to help avoid problems in the future. By all accounts this type of product is sadly targetted by scammers and timewasters.

At least it was only a 1 month code..

If you hear back from him tell him you are going to contact microsoft to confirm if the code has been redeemed or not if he is trying it on you will most likely never hear from him again.

Sounds like a scam, don't forget customers can only make a dispute through Paypal 45 days after the transaction date.

Default Re: Weird ebay customer....

Ive just had someone who bought one of my items 9 days ago, i state in my listings to pay or get in contact within 24 hours, they didn't so i opened a cancellation request. They refused the cancellation and emailed me rather upset saying that this wasn't right and that ebay rules state that buyer can pay upto 7 days later (i wasn't so sure about this but i wasn't going to argue with an ebay buyer). Anyways i replied apologising and said i get alot of non-payers so have made a habit of it. They never got back and never paid, i waited 7 days and then sent a email asking if they still wanted to buy the item, just got this as a reply "NO", very nice i must say.

I just don't understand this, all i dont was send a cancellation request, all they had to do was refuse it then pay but instead they got really upset, strange person.

Anyways i have reported them to ebay so i can get my final fee credit

I really want to speak to them without worrying about feedback and i was asking someone from ebay if they could still give me bad feedback, they said yes but said i could easily get it withdrawn as i have reported them. I don't really believe this, anyone got any experience of this?
