wow,

we just do a cash receipt at the end of every day, in effect like a z total with Amazon being the till. We then keep a printed record of every sale and do a bank rec once a fortnight on payout. Otherwise we would be invoiceing for 400 items every day and never ever get anything done. Our accountant is quite happy with this method and she used to be an HMRC inspector.

I'm just glad it's not me that has to wade through all of the transactions

Mind you, I do produce the majority of the invoices.

Yes, I have our Amazon account set up to produce an order report each day, which i just transfer to a csv file which I can import into our accounting software, so all the invoices are automatically transferred. But the problem is when you come to reconciling it after 2 weeks. None of the dates on the statement match the date of the invoice. Most of them are the day after but the odd one can be a few days later, which stops it balancing when it goes into another statement period. So you spend ages looking for a transaction which isnt there.

Our invoices are kept in number order and these will tie-up with the orders, as they are registered by Amazon.

This makes it a bit easier to reconcile, as we have a special "company" set up in Quickbooks just for Amazon sales.

Amazon is not that good , if they but your account in review which they do for all new sellers you have to wait 30 days before you get any money i know iv been there and its like talking to mud when you call them , and the review team can not be called only email so take care .
star slow just a few orders and get the first disbursment out of the way then you should be ok.
