I think thats the case if buying goods using paypal but outside of ebay, but if bought using ebay, the buyer is fully covered. Im sure this is the case but i can't be 100% on it

When fairly new sellers are selling high value goods, paypal often hold the payment and release it to the seller once the goods have been received and feedback has been left by the buyer;
Mainly because only until recently, Paypal have started refunding people from their own pockets.

Just checked on the paypal website, as long as you paying through ebay, you are fully covered, its only when payments are not made through ebay that refunds are only made when the seller has available funds.

So as long at these PS3 buyers paid through paypal and possibly don't mind waiting a while to get their money back if the console doesn't turn up, then its all good

Sometimes even longer, im still waiting to get money back from a claim i made on the 23rd of September, i paid on the 15th. Its obvious that paypal are having problems getting the money back off the seller and trying everything they can so they don't have to begrudgingly give me that money back from their own pocket.

I also reported the member to ebay because they appeared to have more then one account selling the same items, suffice to say, ebay never got back, they are so rubbish.

Yes they are covered which is good but paypal take ages to give anything back. I made a claim for an item not received on 4th sept and they told me they would get back to me within a certain time frame. They sent me an email saying it is taking longer to resolve the issue anda i'll be updated when they finish their investigation... it was just an £8 tshirt and the sender has no proof of postage so not sure why it takes nearly two months but oh well!

Once i had similar story with company that was running our of business i did a lot of deals with them before and never had any problem after this single incident they started receiving negatives and totally bankrupt i have lost about 1000e and still have claim open in some court (as the company was based in usa). After 2 years received letter that i shall be expecting my cash soon but never received it. Paypal couldnt help either the dispute is closed and money gone.
