I've sent items to Russian Federation by RM, without any problems, the only time there was an 'issue' it was because the Russian equiv of the PO couldn't deliver, so it was sent back to me in the UK!!
Like many people I've had problems with the Italian Post office, stuff goes missing. Also Spain, scam merchants who claim stuff goes 'missing' & demand a refund, so I always send 'international signed for'.
