Default ebid's lifetime seller fee

hey guys just wanting a quick bit of advise....

so i sell xbox live codes which i buy from a few traders off here and i am getting a bit tired of the fact that for each membership i sell ebay takes £2.77 and paypal take £1.15! on avergae i pay £22.00 per membership so for selling 5 i make about £6 this isn't bad as i have been selling around ten a day so thats £12 a day but if i paid £49.99 as a one off charge i would effectively eliminate the £2.77 charge through ebay. so if i sold more than 18 i would effectively be making an extra £27.70 for each lot of 10 i sold!

now the question is will i get the custom through ebid to make back the £49.99? quickly too i might add as i am on a deadline to pay my loan off for starting up my small buisness.

i mean yeah it's great to make 10 sales a day and have 75 feedback ratings in about 30 days with 100% feedback and 35 5 star dsr's! but i like many other people are trying to make a living and to see these ratings and high sale levels come with the unfortunatly large seller fee is not worth the work load!

for one month my ebay fee's have come to a whopping £119!!!! compared to the one off charge of £49.99

so basically just want to know what you think i should do? eBay or eBid?

I wouldn't have thought you would sell so many on ebid as you do on ebay as it's alot smaller site (though that's just a guess), best bet would probably be to look on ebid and see if anyone else is selling them and how well they are selling, may be worth signing up for a shorter period to test the market if you're still unsure.

stick with eBay, the worlds largest marketplace. the fees are a bit annoying, yes but i do not know of anyone who has used ebid with success.

I have listed on eBid for well over a year and whilst the page views appear higher than eBay virtually no one actually buys anything.
It is of course possible to list on eBid and pay a listing fee per item, just as on eBay,so it may be worth trying an one off listing to assess the situation.
For myself I keep my listings on eBid and hope for future expansion, but quick returns, forget it!

Avoid eBid.

eBay is more well known and is guarantee to get you sales.

Its already been said but eBay is the worlds biggest on line marketplace. Fees are a pain but nowhere else will give your products the same exposure.

I tried ebid a while back absolute waste of time, i put 3 month xbox codes on there for £8.99 when i had them did not sell a single one. I put them on ebay for £9.49 sold them all in a day, it has been already said but ebay exposure is second to none which is why they can charge higher fees.

well i put up an auction for ten on ebid but as im not a seller + its not letting me do a buy it now auction. as for ebay been up for 5 hours and sold 4. what are the fee discounts like for being a power seller?
I was just thinking ebid as an extra marketplace for them. it cost's £1.99 for a week for seller + or £49.99 for life. may not generate many sales butlike previously stated after 18 sales it would be giving me more profit than at ebay with the same price.

I set up an account with E-bid, truth be told nothing sells on there, The only things that sell are sold between the sellers.

They offer a great service like free listings, small FVF but truth is when you dont sell anything, and i mean ANYTHING its pointless, I would rather pay the Ebay fees and sell than pay E-bid 49.99 and sell nothing.

Just my opinion... If your fees are that high on ebay have you thought about your own site?
