Charging shipping fees to people abroad
Ok, so I'm new to ebay
I have a shipping price of £2.99 for my t-shirt, I put in my listing that I would ship abroad if contacted beforehand
Someone from Italy asked me the shipping price to them, I replied with approx £7.00 (off royal mail).
The only problem I have is, how do I charge £7.00 if he wins the auction, do you revise the listing after? I don't want to lose out on £4.00
Any help would be great
Cheers, Luke

Re: Charging shipping fees to people abroad
if he buys you get to invoice him change the postage cost in that prior to sending him it.
if he pays before you invoice send him a paypal request for the rest of the money with a note stating why

Re: Charging shipping fees to people abroad
Just add a shipping cost to EU in your listing.
ps:Many Ebayers wont ship to Italy, they seem to have a habit of "losing" mail.

Re: Charging shipping fees to people abroad
I just had a nice italian speaking to me today, im selling a joblot of heavy stuff im willing to just get rid of, its very heavy, like atleast 45kg. Some italian asked me for quote of postage to Italy, i knew that this would be so expensive and so didn't fancy bothering to see how much it would cost so i just said around £200, i then got lambasted by him in italian saying i was insane, what did he expect, i had a look at some prices afterwards and many wouldnt even deliver that weight.

£200? It is insane. If you split that in 2 parcels you are looking at less than £40 for both. Most couriers would not take parcels over 31 kg. Health&safety I would think.
