Amazon is great if you can provide exceptional customer service and dont mind bending over for the inevitable returns you will get. Distance selling regs mean nothing on Amazon - if someone contacts you a fortnight after they got something and wants to return for no other reason than they don't like it, you better take it back or you will get negative feedback and an a to z guarantee claim against you. Just a few of these will see your account closed.
If you complain to Amazon about unfair treatment, they will ignore you and tell you that they are "customer-centric" which is ******** for we don't give a toss about you
everything ian says is true I have had that experience to at first had forced into accepting a return as amazon had the money in there account and had put a lock on it. No matter what they were giving the customer a refund no matter what he/she wanted to send back.
Also said to them I am being bullyed into refunding as the customer contacted 26 days after receipt they made there own rules up as they went along and basically said if I dont take the item back they will and refund out of your money even still...
They never replyed to the fact bullying was mentioned unlike any company I have ever heard of all companys are supposed to take any acts of bullying very seriously and looked into they made no reply to that at all. It was actually like talking to a computer they stuck to the you will refund no matter what you throw at them. Law is completely ignored by them
