Is there a website that i can type an item description in and then it will give me the html code which i can then copy & paste.

Yes, there are several you could try. Google search for "online html generator" and you'll find plenty.

What are you actually trying to achieve? Most HTML generators throw in 'extra' html code which search engines don't like (may do you no harm tho), also the pages generally do not validate.

i sometimes use frontpage, then u can click HTML and what you have designed is transferred to html and you can then copy and paste the code into the web browser etc...
