does anyone know of a good place to sell OEM Software.

I have a few copies of XP Pro left over from an IT Rollout so thought I would get rid of them online - but ebay as far as I can see doesnt allow for the sale of OEM.

Any help appreciated.

I believe you are breaching the manufacturers terms of sale if you sell OEM software without combining it with a new piece of hardware.

Correct me if I am wrong..

True, even if it's a £3 keyboard, they still have to be sold with hardware

To sell OEM software from microsoft you HAVE to supply it with a main system component, ie HD, RAM, GFX Card. I think an IDE cable is not classed as a main component.

Even that's open to interpretation, as an IDE cable I would have thought would be an essential item.

My experience has been it takes a NEW hard drive. Why else would you need a new operating system? You might sneak by with a motherboard, but being realistic, the only OEM use of an operating system is to load a new harddrive. Anything other than that is an upgrade.

The question is more what will ebay let you get by with? I doubt Bill Gates will personally come to your door with a warrant for selling a few copies of OEM stuff, but it really should be tied to a harddrive.
